The Inorganic Crystal Structure Database (ICSD) is a
comprehensive collection of more than 60,000 crystal
structure entries for inorganic materials and is
produced cooperatively by Fachinformationszentrum
Karlsruhe (FIZ), Germany, and the US
Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). A WWW
interface was programmed by Institut
Laue-Langevin (ILL).
The
ICSD is disseminated in computerized formats with
scientific software tools to exploit the content of the
database.
The ICSD User's Group was set up in 1995 by I.
David Brown (McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada), who
provides it with an electronic newsletter. A
corresponding hompage was maintained by CRYSTAL
IMPACT since 1999. Now the ICSD User's Group has its
own World-Wide-Web Domain: www.icsd-usergroup.net
(sponsored by CRYSTAL IMPACT) as a new service point for
users of the Inorganic Crystal Structure Database.
Here you will find the ICSD User's Group Newsletter,
latest news from the database producer, and links to
relevant events and useful software. Additional
suggestions are welcome, please mail to webmaster@icsd-usergroup.net.
